640×512 High-Resolution Thermal Sensor
At the heart of the Predator 640 is a 640×512 uncooled VOx thermal sensor with a 12 μm pixel pitch.
Combined with a thermal sensitivity of ≤20 mK, the sensor is designed to detect subtle temperature differences and provide detailed thermal imagery in challenging environmental conditions.
The 50 Hz frame rate helps provide smooth image performance when scanning moving subjects or navigating through the field.
45mm Objective Lens
The 45 mm objective lens provides a balance between image detail, detection capability and field of view.
The Predator 640 offers a horizontal field of view of approximately 11.0°, with a vertical field of view of 8.8° and diagonal field of view of 14.0°.
The optical system uses 1× optical magnification, making it suitable for use as a front-mounted clip-on in conjunction with a compatible daytime riflescope.
Integrated Laser Rangefinder
The LRF version incorporates a built-in laser rangefinder capable of measuring distances up to 1,000 metres / 1,200 yards under suitable conditions.
This allows distance information to be obtained directly through the device without requiring a separate handheld rangefinder.
Important: No Ballistic Calculator
The PR6-45/LRF does not include an integrated ballistic calculator.
The LRF provides distance measurement, but it does not calculate bullet drop or automatically generate ballistic firing solutions based on ammunition, ballistic coefficient, muzzle velocity or environmental conditions.
Front Clip-On Design
The Predator is designed as a front-mounted thermal clip-on, allowing a compatible daytime riflescope to remain in place.
According to PARD, the Predator does not require the clip-on itself to be zeroed; the daytime scope should be properly zeroed. The device’s reticle adjustment function is designed to help ensure that the daytime scope’s aiming position remains unchanged after the clip-on is attached.
PARD recommends using the daytime scope at approximately 4×–8× magnification with the Predator for a good viewing experience.
High-Resolution OLED Display
The Predator 640 features a 1920×1080 OLED display, providing a clear and detailed viewing interface.
Multiple image modes are available, including:
- White Hot
- Black Hot
- Edge
- Red Hot
- In Hot
- Sky
Different scene modes, including City, Rain and Forest, can also be selected to suit changing observation conditions.
Built-In Recording
The Predator 640 includes integrated recording functionality for capturing field observations.
It supports:
- Self-activated recording
- Loop recording
- Photo capture
- Video recording
- Built-in microphone
Photos and videos can be stored on a Micro SD card up to 128 GB.
Wi-Fi & PARDVision2
Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allows the device to connect with the PARDVision2 application.
USB Type-C is also provided for connectivity, data transfer and external power options.
Built for Outdoor Conditions
The Predator 640 features a robust aluminium alloy housing and an IP67 protection rating.
It is designed to operate in temperatures from approximately -30°C to +55°C (-22°F to +131°F) and is rated for recoil resistance up to 6,000 J, making it suitable for demanding outdoor applications.
Compact and Lightweight
Despite incorporating a high-resolution thermal sensor, OLED display, recording system and integrated LRF, the Predator 640 remains relatively compact.
The device measures approximately:
140 × 60 × 78 mm
and weighs approximately:
424 g with battery.
Battery
The Predator 640 uses one 18650 rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
With a fully charged battery, operating time is approximately 5 hours, depending on operating conditions and settings.
USB Type-C external power is also supported.
